Horrifying

As some of you readers may know, I consider myself to be an atheist. Even so, occasionally I make my way to my church, mainly on account of my parents’ nagging. The church I go to is St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in downtown Baltimore. Even though the picture isn’t the greatest—I couldn’t find a better one in my archives after searching for half an hour—it’s a really pretty building from the outside and as well the inside, taking much of the artistic inspiration from the art of the Russian Orthodox Right. I don’t get to downtowne Baltimore that often these days, so it’s nice to be there every once in a while and catch the sights, maybe get some coffee or food somewhere. As well, going to church affords me an opportunity to see some long time friends of mine who I don’t get much chance to talk with or hang out with anymore, as I’m now in school in Carlise, PA.

I always knew this church was in a not so good neightbourhood, but I never knew it was in a bad neighbourhood until this past weeked. Continue Reading…

The Fireplace

Lying on the couch, in front of the fireplace with a nice fire going inside. Dog, by my side on the couch, with his head resting on my shoulder. Nice acoustic Christmas music playing through the two speakers in the room. Not a worry in the world.

Warped Tour

One week ago I had the fortune to attend the opening day of this summers Warped Tour. Going to the tour has been something that I’ve wanted to do for quit a few years now, and I’ve finally done it, and I’m quite happy with the entire experience.
